AAM to Host St. Jude Walk/Run at World Headquarters Campus

AAM at St. Jude

DETROIT, July 27, 2021 -- American Axle & Manufacturing will host the annual Detroit St. Jude Walk/Run at its Detroit headquarters campus on Sept. 25. The event benefits the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and is held on the same weekend as 57 other St. Jude walk and run events taking place across the country.

AAM is also the presenting sponsor for the event and members of Team AAM are traditionally also the largest participating and fundraising team.

“One of the most important aspects of AAM’s people-first culture is our dedication to supporting organizations that work to better our communities,” said Chris Son, AAM’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “St. Jude’s work to help find a cure for pediatric cancer is critically important. We hope that by hosting this year’s Walk/Run even more dollars will be donated to help further this important mission.”

AAM has raised more than $300,000 for St. Jude since 2015. St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital works to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
